Heavy-Duty Retractable Search Line for Firefighters

RIT’s Retractable Search Line is designed for dependable performance during firefighter search, rescue and emergency response operations. Its retractable design helps keep the rope organized and ready for controlled deployment in demanding environments.

Available in 20-foot and 50-foot lengths, the search line uses 6 mm Kevlar-over-polyester rope with a tensile strength exceeding 4,000 pounds. The rope is temperature-rated to 860°F, making it well suited for high-heat environments where durability and reliability are essential.

The rope is securely sewn to a snap hook for a dependable connection. A non-rated carabiner is also included for convenient attachment to a belt or anchor point.

Durable Steel Housing

The retractable rope and wheel are protected by a heavy-duty case constructed from stamped steel. This rugged housing helps protect the internal components from impact, abrasion and the demanding conditions encountered during training and emergency operations.

Reinforced Cordura Carry Bag

Each retractable search line includes a carry bag made from 1000 denier Cordura nylon. Reinforced handles make the unit easier to transport, store and deploy when needed.
